does anyone know how difficult it is to change the throttle boddies on a 1.1 engine?? going to change mine for the one from a 60/75 punto but wondering if i would be able to do it myself or if i would need to get it done by a garage :?

cheers

just looked up the haynes manual, and it looks quite a tough job, best left to the mechanics i think

changing throttle bodies is easy, (unless your goin diffrent engine to engine)

just because of little things like sizes and mounting points and the setting up of the new system to best suit the engine.

ud be best off not bothering or getting a professional to do it.

its the same as alot of things, it is possibe but not easly done especially if you have little knowledge of mechanical modifications, no offense but id even struggle with some things like that.

best conversion or mod to do to a chinq is the punto 1.2 16v engine, this can be tuned to 110bhp when chipped, if thats still not enough it can be turbo'd and produces 130bhp

I know of a full sporting set up going for 1000 quid and has everything you need and has only covered 35k

only prob with a 1.2 16v is that you need to change the ecu and stuff can change to a 1.2 8v using the same box ecu etc so that would be my only one to consider unless i had alot of money all of a sudden n got a gt engine
