Ok, we tried removing the guiding pins on my car but they dont want to seem to budge!
Mikey suggested they could just be seized on after 6 years of no one trying to remove them, could this just be the case?! If WD40 don't loosen them up enough, would it be worth just getting them ground off with a grinder or is that a bad idea?!
(Can you tell I want my new wheels on the car?!! !  )

you can use a hammer if you can hit them of i find thats the easy way ie bend them then hit them round rough i know but very effective

I got the ones off my MK2 Punto without too much bother on the rear, the correct size spanner and a hammer (to hit the spanner round).
But that was about 6 months after the car was bought so 6 years might require a bigger hammer!!
:D

Don,t grind them off  you wont get discs off at a later date. usually they come off no problem, if stuck solid get a set of vice grips and lock them on should come off pretty easy.

Mine took a lot of effort to get off my nearly 9 yr old punto, but a 12mm (I think) spanner and lots of WD40 and they should come off no probs! Just make sure u use the right size spanner so ya don't round 'em!
