OK, I've looked in the "How To's" at the RCL how to and I've located my central locking relay in the glovebox. I've also looked on Ebay for Meta RCL kits and found nothing. A couple of questions;

1) In the Haynes manual it mentions a door locking receiver in the rear left hand side of the boot. I've not had a chance to look for this as it's too dark! If it exists, where is it and is it required for remote central locking?

2) Why does the keyfob have the push button bit on it if the car doesn't have remote central locking in the first place?

3) How much do the meta RCL kits tend to cost and are they just a relay with an aerial wire?

Please help, my wife is pestering me left, right and centre about getting RCL for her Punto. Her car's a '98 1.2 Sporting, by the way! Ta.

Aye, that's what I thought! If I've got the key fob with the button what else could it be for. I've tried numerous pairs of batteries in the fob, but it just doesn't seem to work!!!

Is it an infra-red or radio reciever in the roof?? Have you tried it from inside the car?? Could just need cleaning.
