nope not a big red lorry with flashing lights, but your Fully Integrated Robotised Engine. (mainly the 1.2 8v cos thats what ive got)

Flowed and Ported cylinder head with standard valves (not much room to add bigger valves)

Suzuki Hayabusa throttle body kit. (crazy but a straight fit once a suitable inlet manifold has been made)

DTA EX48 engine management system. (because chipping them just over fuels the egine.

Performance camshafts

Lightened flywheel (you can machine the standard one down to 3.6kg)

4-2-1 tubular exhaust manifold

Modified sump pan

and according to my sources don't de-cat, instead use a sport cat.

and you need to get the engine totally balanced and lightened.

do all this and your punto should be good for 120bhp!

FIRE engines run best with NGK BKR7EVX spark plugs with Magnecor ignition leads.

and keeping the standard airbox but putting in a ITG panel filter but with better ducting is better than an after market air filter.

some parts from the 16v can be used in the 8v,
such as:
inner valve springs (better for higher rpm's)
piston rods (thinner and lighter so better for higher rpm's)

120bhp out a 1.2 8v? Thats quite impressive.

Anybody actually done this. Bet it costs a bomb. :(

yes its been done!

it can rev till 14,000rpm till it blows up. lol.

but wolf direct racin do it, usually for racing tho. but it can be done!

reliability would probably be shit, cos its a racing engine

I bet it would drive like a pig unless you were giving it s*** everywhere

got it from wolfdirectracing, ive seen this lowtechguy on puntoforum's he seems to know his stuff! lol!

i don't realy see a point in moding the 1.2 8v cos at the end of the day its still a 1.2 8v. if u want big power start with a big engine! a nice 2l 16v turbo! 200ish bhp as standard, then tune it to 350bhp and kill urself!

Id never try to get more than stock from the 1.2 8v, personally, but thats maybe just me.

Mine was nothing but heartache. It didnt like being run day in day out on the dualler (and me having a lead foot probably didn't help!) If more power = less reliability then I know what I would rather have! 8-)

More power to blow it up quicker! 8-)

plus the 1.2 8v body jsut aint strong enough to hold an huge amount of power.

U may find that after a few rounds of kicking the arse out of it the body would probarly flex and your panels would be suverly warped.

I'm few up with mine after seeign the power if 170 bhp gt i've realised that my car is so pish.
