The clutch release bearing is on its way out after 14,000 miles  JOY!

Was up at Halfords buying a fire extinguisher for the Ka and Punto after Lynseys ordeal when i was approached by a guy off the site who works for AC Fiat in dundee(cant remember his name but he drives an 04 plate navy blue Panda).

He said there is a knocking coming from my engine, which i thought was normal, and asked me to press the clutch, and in went away.
Apparenty, the clutch isnt engaging properly, and the prongs are constantly rubbing against the gearbox or summin, thus making the knocking.

He then tells me that it is a gearbox/ clutch out job, and if it has got bad enough, i will need new ones. It will get progressively worse, and ruin them both if i dont get it sorted.

Thank God its under warranty, so i shall be up there on Monday, and when i drop the car off to get repaired, i shall take the receptionist to examine my pristine dentless car, and if it returns this time with a scratch or dent or imperfection of any kind on it, there will be Fucking Merry Hell!

Although, if i book it in now, the car might be in the garage at ST.Andrews, so i might wait till after that to get it fixed.

BAD DAY!

it might actual be a gear box mount?, when i had my fiesta i had symptoms of crunching gears and a clunking coming from the engine bay too, my clutch was also slipping as well. so i took it to fife auto centre who are real good btw and got them to change my clutch. when i came back to pick up the car the guy told me that he fixed the clutch but he also had to install 2 new gearbox mounts as both mine where snapped in 2
so reall the gearbox was gaggling just off the bolts that attch it to the engine which was causing the problem but he said he just put the clutch in anyway saince he had the gearbox out. but wat does it matter u have warranty :-P
